Adam LaMothe is a Miami‑based painter whose luminous, layered compositions explore the intersections of personal narrative and collective memory. He earned a B.F.A. in Painting from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth (2010) and an M.F.A. in Painting from the New York Academy of Art (2012). LaMothe’s work has been showcased in solo exhibitions such as Such A Sweet Life (Barrimundi, New York) and How To Fight Loneliness (The Cupping Room, New York), as well as in prominent group shows like Fables at The Record Company (Boston) and Twice Born at Gage Academy (Seattle).

His commitment to the arts was recognized with the New York Academy of Art Merit Scholarship, and in 2011 he was awarded a prestigious Terra Foundation Residency in Giverny, France
